INDY URBAN HARDWOOD
3643 E. RAYMOND ST. | INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46203 | HOURS: M, W, F 9:00-4:30 PM, SAT 10-2 PM
Indy Urban Hardwood is run by the ever-charasmatic and passionate Brian Presell, local Indy artist and former art mover turned urban lumber miller. They specialize in taking downed trees in our city and turning them into accessible lumber and beautiful studio furniture and fixtures for businesses, commercial and residential spaces. A vast majority of what we created come from their off-cuts and pieces that cannot be used by other artists and makers. Currently we have earrings, necklaces, belt buckles, trays and live edged bowls in stock in their gallery shop.
1979 CO
201 S. AUDUBON ROAD | INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46219 | HOURS: 12-7 PM, CLOSED MONDAY
Nate Olp traded in his previous careers to go all-in and start 1979 co. His plans were all set to open in Spring of 2020, then… we all know what happened to the world. Despite everything, his small Irvington shop has been successful thanks to loyal local patrons who love his hand-cut and hand-stitched leather goods made to last a lifetime and beyond. He has a mix of pre-made items for sale and also takes on custom orders when time allows. We currently have a selection of urban lumber belt buckles in his shop, and we have to give credit to Nate for helping us fine-tune our belt buckle design for optimum functionality.
